FiBL - Research Institute of Organic Agriculture
The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL is one of the world's leading organic farming research and technology transfer centers for sustainable agriculture. It is an independent, non-profit research institute dedicated to advancing cutting-edge science particularly in the field of organic agriculture.
FiBL's research team works with farmers and farmer organisations to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to increase agricultural productivity while taking into account environmental, health and socio-economic impacts. FiBL has been a partner in more than 50 projects under the EU Framework Programs.
Role in the project
FiBL leads the workpackage 4 and is responsible for the communication, dissemination and exploitation strategies in the Pro-Wild project.
Various media tools such as this website, social media, and videos are managed by FiBL to ensure that project activities and outcomes are widely disseminated. It also coordinates key events such as the mid-term and final conferences, training activities, and workshops are coordinated.
Stakeholders and the public will be engaged by the production of policy briefs and other dissemination tools. FiBL will develop an exploitation strategy to facilitate the use and commercialization of results beyond the project.
Through these efforts, FiBL will ensure that the results of Pro-Wild are communicated, shared, and exploited for maximum impact.
In addition, FiBL focuses on engaging stakeholders through a dynamic learning agenda to improve crop wild relatives (CWR) breeding. It promotes social learning and addresses challenges through learning partnerships, field workshops, and reflection sessions. The task also involves co-designing field trials to produce practical guides for breeders and farmers, working closely with other project areas.
