PRO-WILD is a partner project for the VI EUCARPIA Conference on Organic and Low-Input Agriculture in Coimbra, Portugal, from May 26-28, 2025.

The upcoming VI EUCARPIA Conference focuses on “Breeding to Meet Environmental and Societal Challenges”. Hosted at the Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra – ESAC from May 26th to May 28th 2025, the conference will bring together researchers, breeders, seed companies, students and stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in sustainable plant breeding.

The event aims to address issues in organic, low-input, and agroecological farming systems through innovative research and collaboration. Key topics include:

  • Environmental challenges
  • Breeding for Diversity
  • Societal challenges

The program will feature oral and poster presentations from a wide range of disciplines and methodologies. By participating in the conference, PRO-WILD aims to promote dialogue and collaboration with initiatives that share similar goals.
